I have seen more of the UK by living in Germany than if I had stayed there over the past 30 years probably. I come from one of the most beautiful  parts of England way down in the south-west corner of the country, from Cornwall. Beautiful fine sand beaches, quaint little fishing villages & rugged coastline are just a few of the highlights awaiting visitors. So why did I leave? Work, or to be more precise the lack of work. After graduating from the local college I had received an offer to work in Germany & so at the age of just 21 I left home on a great adventure to foreign shores which in turn opened up many new opportunities for me. I have never regretted this decision but still after 30 years living in Germany miss certain aspects of the country’s folk, heritage & scenery.

Most of my digital material has been shot over the past 10 years mainly in Scotland with visits to England being quite a rarity due to travels to other locations in Europe & further afield. I hope to change this state of affairs & do more justice to my own country, especially in the south-west where I come from. Scenically seen the UK has some fantastic areas of natural beauty too numerous to list here. If you keep away from the big towns then you are sure to come across some really nice places where you feel that original old English atmosphere.

Cuckmere Haven is the perfect place to spend a sunny afternoon sitting on the beach with a deckchair & a beer.
